On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, from 9:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m., Los Angeles Partner Karen Vogel Weil will moderate "Litigating Reasonable Royalty Damages" during the Intellectual Property Owners Association's (IPO) 2015 Damages & Injunctions Committee Conference.

This panel will explore the issues parties must grapple with in dealing with reasonable royalty damages in today’s world. Panelists will discuss issues in royalty determinations, including whether they differ as a result of single patented compound products, multi-featured, or multi-patented products; how to deal with the smallest saleable unit whether or not it is sold independently; and whether the royalty base should be defined by the smallest saleable unit or the device.
