Knobbe Martens’ Maria Anderson will be speaking at the 16th Annual Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association (LAIPLA) Washington in the West conference, January 29 in Los Angeles. Anderson will be participating in a panel discussion on “What Is Patentable Subject Matter?—Changing Perspectives in the Biotechnology and Software Arts.”

The conference will also feature officials from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) including Michelle Lee, USPTO Director of the Silicon Valley office and former deputy general counsel of Google, Judge Jeffrey B. Robertson, USPTO and Judge Lorelei Ritchie, USPTO.
