Knobbe Martens Ranked Third Nationally In Partner Diversity

Knobbe Martens, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, has been ranked third nationally for highest number of minority equity partners in an annual survey conducted by Diversity & The Bar magazine - a publication of Minority Corporate Counsel Association.

The survey, which appears in the September/October 2007 issue of Diversity & The Bar as well as online at www.mcca.com, ranks firms across the United States based on their percentage of minority equity partners. Results were based on data from 193 major law firms appearing in the 2007 edition of the Vault/MCCA Guide to Law Firm Diversity Programs. Knobbe Martens ranked third among these firms with 12.4% minority partners. The lawyers at Knobbe Martens are involved in professional organizations and community associations dedicated to supporting professionals from diverse backgrounds, including the Orange County Diversity Task Force, TiE (The Industry Entrepreneurs), American Intellectual Property Law (AIPLA) Education Foundation, Georgetown Law Center Diversity Resume Collection Program and the Diversity Fellowship Program.

In addition, the firm's Diversity Committee meets to discuss initiatives for enhancing the firm's growth and outreach to recruits of diverse backgrounds. The Diversity Committee's goal is to ensure that the firm is continuing to support diversity initiatives and identify innovative ways to encourage diversity within the firm and in the community.
