Knobbe Martens Medical Technology Client, C.R. Bard, Acquires Medivance Inc.

Knobbe Martens client, C.R. Bard has acquired Medivance Inc. for $250 million and will become part of the Bard Medical division. C.R. Bard provides medical technologies in the fields of vascular, urology, oncology and surgical specialty products.

Medivance is a leader in the growing field of therapeutic hypothermia and makes the Arctic Sun line of products. These products allow physicians to effectively control body core temperature, in a treatment known as therapeutic hypothermia, during the treatment of critically ill patients. Medivance's technology provides an innovative, non-invasive way to rapidly transfer heat from a patient so as to effectively manage body core temperature.
