Knobbe Martens Ranked in Top Ten Nationally for Number of Utility Patents Issued
Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP has once again been ranked among the top firms in the nation for the number of utility patents issued as published in the 2012 Top Patent Firms list compiled by Intellectual Property Today.
Knobbe Martens continued to climb the list, moving from 14th in 2011 to ninth in 2012. This year, the list included a total of 272 law firms and individuals. The firms were ranked according to the number of utility patents issued in 2011 where the firm or individual was listed as the legal representative on the issued patent. Knobbe Martens has continued to rank high on this list over the years, listed within the top 15 since 2008.
Knobbe Martens demonstrated a 14.3 percent increase in the number of utility patents issued from 2010-2011, the highest of any firm in the top 25. The list also shows Knobbe Martens’ 2011 total of 2,146 patents issued, and the firm’s three year average of 1,829 patents issued. To date, Knobbe Martens has issued over 20,000 patents.
