Knobbe Martens Successfully Concludes Litigation Case with Tough Injunctions Against National Retailer Bed, Bath & Beyond on Behalf of Client, Treasure Garden, Inc.

Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP has secured a decisive victory on behalf of its longstanding client Treasure Garden, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of outdoor umbrellas and shade products. Knobbe Martens was able to obtain a confidential settlement for their client and permanent injunctions against national retailer Bed Bath & Beyond and its supplier Lancer & Loader Group, LLC, granted by the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

The injunctions prohibit the defendants from selling rechargeable, LED umbrella lights that were charged with infringing on Treasure Garden’s patented designs. Treasure Garden’s patents covered its Vega® umbrella light that uses an innovative clam-shell design that grips a patio umbrella pole to allow for outdoor, night-time illumination without power cords.
