Knobbe Martens Attorney Carrie Zhang Named to Lawyers of Color’s 2014 “Hot List”

Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP associate Carrie Zhang has been named to Lawyers of Color’s Second Annual Hot List, which recognizes junior and mid-level lawyers of color under 40 who have excelled in their careers working as in-house counsel, government attorneys or law firm associates and partners.

Zhang’s practice areas include patent procurement, patent portfolio management, intellectual property due diligence, IP strategy, and other related issues. She works with clients in a variety of industries, including the semiconductor, electronics, chemical, and mechanical industries. Zhang received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and obtained her law degree from UCLA School of Law. Before attending law school, Zhang was a process engineer at a semiconductor company in Silicon Valley.

In order to identify candidates, the Lawyers of Color selection committee spent several months researching bar association publications and legal blogs in addition to reviewing nominations from mentors, peers and colleagues. The selection committee also made editorial picks of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments, especially those active in legal pipeline initiatives. The selected attorneys will be profiled in Lawyers of Color’s Hot List 2014 issue.
