Melanie Seelig and Christopher Sweeney to Serve as Faculty During 2014 CASRIP Summer Institute

Melanie Seelig and Christopher Sweeney, partners in the Seattle office of Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, will serve as faculty members at the 2014 Center for Advanced Study & Research on Intellectual Property (CASRIP) Summer Institute, hosted by the University of Washington School of Law, July 17- August 1, 2014.

CASRIP is a highly regarded research and policy development institute focusing on issues related to patents and other intellectual property ownership rights. The internationally renowned Summer Institute is a prestigious and intensive intellectual property summer program in the U.S., focusing on the fundamentals of patent prosecution, patent litigation, and technology licensing and management from a comparative law perspective.

This year’s institute is directed by world-renowned University of Washington professor, Toshiko Takenaka and features Retired Judge Randall Rader of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals as well as distinguished faculty, visiting professors, patent examiners from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and patent prosecutors from Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Washington D.C.
