Knobbe Martens Partner Amy Chun Wins International “Client Choice Award” for Patent Practice

Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, one of the nation’s leading intellectual property law firms, is pleased to announce that partner Amy Chun has been selected by International Law Office (ILO) as the exclusive winner of their “Client Choice Award” in the Intellectual Property: Patents, California category for her prolific patent prosecution practice. The annual award recognizes attorneys worldwide who stand apart for excellent client care and quality of service.

Ms. Chun, a partner in the firm’s Orange County office, represents clients in all types of intellectual property matters, including patent, trade secret, and copyright disputes, intellectual property license negotiations, due diligence investigations, patent prosecution and strategy, and open source policy assessment and review. While she has worked with a variety of technologies, she focuses on distributed computing systems, e-commerce, social media, financial services, mobile computing, and internet technology.

Clients commended Ms. Chun for her intelligence, determination, creativity, and ability to explain legal realities in a language that clients truly understand and appreciate. A client praised her judgment and skills saying, “Great lawyers have great judgment and have mastered such skills as issue spotting, negotiating potential minefields and taking a creative approach to finding solutions to a client’s biggest headaches. Amy has consistently done that for our company.”

The 2015 “Client Choice Award” winners were chosen from more than 2,000 individual assessments received worldwide. The criteria for the awards focus on an attorney’s ability to add real value to a client’s business, above and beyond the other practitioners in the market. Uniquely, law firms and partners can only be nominated for these awards by corporate counsel. More information about Amy Chun and her full recognition can be viewed here.
