Hans Mayer Named Among “2023 Rising Stars” by Law360
LOS ANGELES, CALIF., June 21, 2023 – Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that Hans Mayer, a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has been selected as a “Rising Star” in IP by Law360. The prestigious list recognizes attorneys under 40 across the country based on their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.
In its profile of Mr. Mayer, Law360 notes that he earned a spot as a Rising Star in part for his success in helping drink maker Orange Bang secure a $175 million victory in a trademark dispute against a rival drink maker. Aside from the award being one of the largest-ever trademark verdicts, Mr. Mayer noted the case also involved a longstanding family business: "The stakes were more than money — this is something they've built over a long time. I think that win made them feel so good to be vindicated, and it was a fantastic experience for us to be able to help them protect the brand that they spent so long building."
